Michael’s Story

Michael was born on November 27, 1981, at Travis AFB. He was not just a loving and sweet man, but he was also known for his incredible sense of humor that could brighten anyone’s day. He had a way of making people laugh with his witty jokes and lighthearted spirit. Mike always wore his heart on his sleeve and cared deeply for his family and friends.Mike had a profound passion for movies and music; if you saw him, he always had headphones or was carrying a speaker. He loved to sing and dance and was incredibly creative in his own music.Mike was consistently well-groomed, always wearing cologne, no matter where he was going or what he was doing. He believed in making a great first impression, and his style was a reflection of his confident and caring nature.After graduating as a Certified Medical Assistant, he took his MA role seriously, finding joy in helping those in need. His dedication to his profession was a testament to his caring heart. He was there to lend a hand and provide comfort to those who needed it most.

Tragically, on June 4, 2021, he lost his life due to an accidental overdose, a result of his long-time struggle with addiction and health issues. The pain of losing him is immeasurable, and we feel a piece of our hearts will be forever missed.

Mike’s passing leaves a void in our lives, but it also inspires us to continue his legacy of compassion and kindness. This foundation is a testament to Mike’s desire to make a difference for those affected by mental health or addiction. With a compassionate heart and a selfless mindset, we will provide resources to those suffering from mental health conditions, aiming to save lives. We will channel the strength and kindness that he showed every day.
